Alyssa Cose grew up in Chico California, where she graduated with a degree in Art Education from California State University, Chico. Since then, she has lived in various places around California, with hopes of continuing her education and studying art.

Alyssa describes her work as "moments and images that I see in my mind, mixed with natural and urban landscapes in which I am surrounded by. Born and raised in Chico Ca, I have been lucky enough to experience the beautiful countryside as well as urban cities in both northern and southern California. My paintings start with a single charcoal drawing which is then painted primarily with a palette knife. Multiple layers are added with caulking, glosses and glazes to create different textures. Exploring different mediums and textures is an ongoing process involved in my work."
